BfA has made personal loot the only option for raiding. We opted to use a wait and see approach for personal loot, and allow for free rolls on any extra items. At this point, we believe that this isn’t a good fit for our guild. HoZ has historically looked at attendance as the main factor of determining where loot goes. In order for us to succeed as a guild, we need to have a reward based system to encourage participation and attendance.
Currently when you go into a raid, you can have 3 (and sometimes more) chances at loot on a boss. All of these options are RNG based as follows:
The officers and I will be working on a hybrid option of loot going forward. We will be using a Loot Council style of loot tempered with EPGP(or some other form of attendance tracking). It will give our guild the ability to determine where “unneeded” loot will go. The largest benefits are:
What we don’t want to see is someone coming once a month and being able to win everything based on personal luck. That doesn’t help the raid team progress.
We will be doing some initial testing of these addons. At this point, please download EPGP (DKP reloaded). We will be adjusting people’s points based on their attendance to date. Policy for this will be drafted and posted to the website prior to the official launch.
Please reach out if you have any questions.
As promised, here's the next blog post for House of Zug. This one is a biggie: We're going to streamline loot during raids by using a new addon, PersoLootRoll. A few members have been testing it behind the scenes, and it's much faster to use than the current "Who needs this cloak, roll" method that's been happening currently. The website linked explains everything much better than we could attempt to, and for this week we're wanting to see how things happen organically. The plan is to help cut down on the time between bosses where people are trying to call out loot, roll, and trade items into a simple need/greed/pass system that happens more behind the scenes and lets the raid flow much more efficiently. If you have any questions, contact an officer and we'll try to make sense of it the best we can. See you at raid Zuggies!
Hey Zuggies, time for the first of a few rapid fire blog posts! Up now, the announcement of a House of Zug donation contest. The rules are as follows:

2. When-Now through October 7, 2018
3. How-Send ALL donations directly to Aziziah, who will do the tally and totaling. If sending from an alt, PLEASE include who your main character is in the mail.

Any questions? Contact Aziziah or Iridin. Now get to donating!
Well, the first couple of weeks are behind us and Uldir is looming ever closer. In about a week we will be moving through the new raid at a quick pace. Here are the expectations to date:
Remember that we set minimums so that we can ensure we are successful. If you aren’t going to reach that threshold by September 4th, keep working at it and completing dungeons.
Optimization for this week
For those that need armor:
I know that many people are itching to get into this content as soon as possible, and I appreciate the enthusiasm. That said:
Frontloading vs Marathoning content
What content should I focus on?
While the content is not as heavy as Legion to start with, there are some things you should prioritize weekly at this point:
Hello again Zuggies! With the Battle for Azeroth pre-patch arriving tomorrow, so does raiding! Tomorrow at 5:15 pm PST/8:15 server (Area 52 is EST, not PST like Silvermoon), we'll check out the new stuff together. Log on and check the guild calendar, the raids are set up there so people can experiment with class changes before the next expansion goes live. If you have any questions, message Dire or Iridin and they'll get it sorted out. See you at the raid!
Hello Zuggies! There will be a guild meeting on Thursday, June 14, at 7 pm PST. Yes, it's a later start time for the meeting, but we hope it also makes it easier for people to attend. As always, if you're not available at that time, the meeting will be streamed to the HoZ Facebook page and/or the HoZ Twitch stream, with a Youtube video of it coming later. We'll have an agenda set up at the meeting, as well as the pre/post expansion guild survey to help the officers direct the guild better going forward. See you there!
