On behalf of myself and all the Officers I would like to wish you, your families and loved ones a very special Christmas.
Another year draws to a close: a year of achievements, celebration, excruciating PUNishment, and innumerable laughs. Over the past 12 months, we have grown our community by over two-hundred members, welcomed new members who have helped us reach new and exciting heights, and said goodbye to good friends whose lives have become ever more complex and demanding. We have defeated three raid tiers, and solidified ourselves as the longest continuously raiding team among Silvermoon's Horde.
I would like to thank all of you who have contributed your time and efforts to helping us achieve our goals this expansion. Your continued support and contribution allows this community to not only survive but flourish in one of the most challenging chapters of the Warcraft saga.
To our raiders, I want to especially applaud your skill and perseverance. While many claim that part-time raiding is dead, you consistently prove the naysayers wrong, executing the most complex strategies in the game's history within a seven hour window. House of Zug is a community of parents, students, and professionals. And in five years, we have never canceled a raid due to attendance. This legacy could not continue without your phenomenal communication and respect for our team.
Christmas is a time of celebration, joy and togetherness. I hope the New Year brings renewed hope, energy and success to you and your families. I very much look forward to the journey to every greater heights next year.
GM of House of Zug
Raids canceled this week due to holidays.
I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I hope you find yourselves surrounded by good food, quality friends, and tolerable family!
Raiding resumes on Tuesday, 12/29. However, we will be taking the 31st off for Near's Eve.
Don't forget: The Town Hall Meeting to discuss the remaining months of Warlords is scheduled for the first Tuesday in January (1/5). All are welcome, including non-raiders. Bring your best ideas to the discussion.
In respect for the ongoing tensions in a galaxy far, far away, House of Zug officers have elected to cancel tonight out of reverence for those lost in the civil war which has plagued said galaxy for nearly a half-century.
The New York Times has reported favorably on the highly anticipated documentary which manages to capture these distant events on film for the first time in over 30 years. This comes as a strong reassurance for concerned citizens who are still uneasy about the fraudulent documentaries produced in the first decade of the 21st century which were quickly revealed to be manufactured on a green screen.
We highly recommend you view documentary filmmaker JJ Abram's new film: Star Wars: The Force Awakens, appearing in theaters December 18th (early showings on the 17th). Many have elected to wear robes to the premiere in respect for the deceased order of monks which once served as the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy.
Please take the time to join with friends and family for a day of reflection. Although the conflicts of another galaxy may at times appear to be distant or removed from our daily lives, documentaries like this remind us of how blessed we are to live truly in the middle of galactic no where.
Also, Iridin wants me to remind everyone about his #AdoptAnEwok movement trending on Twitter (Sarah McLachlan commercial on the way).
May the force be with us all, especially the orphans of the galactic civil war.
(If you did not receive upgrades and should have: contact an officer.)
Due to the upcoming holidays, Friday Night Flex/Friday Night LFR will be cancelled until the new year. We'll pick it up again on January 8, 2016, and will more than likely just stick to HFC for keeping up with Valor at that time.
With an incredibly productive Tuesday under their belts, the House of Zug raid team only needed four pulls to take down Heroic Archimonde. Moose mount pictures will be Tuesday night, and congrats to everyone who got loot!
House of Zug officers are the backbone of our legacy and success. The process of selecting officer takes months of careful deliberation and discussion. New officers must be established, active, knowledgeable, approachable, and beloved members of the community. Most importantly, we look for guild members who have taken it upon themselves to improve and expand upon the existing guild structure on their on volition.
Iridin is no exception. A long-standing Veteran and MVP raider, Iridin has demonstrated his excellence beyond his role both as a raid leader of Friday Night Flex and the progression team. When the team was asked to help share the load of leadership, he stepped up in a large way adding mentoring of new raiders, logs analysis, media branding, and recruitment to his already numerous contributions to the guild.
Thank you for your service to this community, Iridin.
May you continue to serve the community with the same passion you have already demonstrated.
Congratulations on the prestigious rank of OFFICER
